Leviticus 17 … Consider His Regulations Regarding Blood

God continues to command His people to live as set apart, as a kingdom representing a Holy God to all peoples; and blood would have a prominent and precisely regulated role.

Consider His Regulations Regarding Blood

How are we to respond to His Regulations Regarding Blood?

There is much we derive from His declaration, “the life of all flesh is in its blood.” All life is a gift from the Holy Creator, and therefore sacred: every human conceived (Psalm 139); every living human, good or bad (Ezekiel 18:23); and even animals (Proverbs 12:10).

Jesus adhered to every Regulation Regarding the Blood. He died, paying the ultimate payment; the sacred life of His flesh was in His blood, shed to impart His abundant life.

“…I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly, (John 10:10).

While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; 28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins,” (Matthew 26:26-28).

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me, (Galatians 2:20).

Let us praise Him today; He alone has fulfilled every Regulation Regarding the Blood, imparting to us His sacred, abundant life and the eternal hope of glory.

… Christ in you, the hope of glory, (Colossians 1:27).
