Luke 8 … Consider What Manner of Man He Is

…And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this!… (8:25 KJV).

If Luke 8 were the only chapter written to expound upon the Person of Jesus Christ, it just may well be enough. How can a mere man be all that He is? How can a mere man do all that He did?

His life, His miracles, and His words still cause people today to wonder “What Manner of Man is This!”

Consider What Manner of Man He Is

How do we respond to What Manner of Man He Is?

We must carefully consider What Manner of Man He Is. Jesus Himself asked His disciples to do so, And He continued by questioning them, “But who do you say that I am?” (Mark 8:29).

He asks the same of us.

One day the truth of our hearts will be revealed.

Lord, Jesus, may we have ears to hear, hearts to worship, wills to submit, and lives that bring You glory, that Your light in us would draw others to see What Manner of Man You Are! And please Lord, deliver us from any self-deception as we carefully listen to Your Word, for we are desperate for all You have for us.

“For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. 18 So take care how you listen; for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has shall be taken away from him,” (8:17-18).
